First, there is on big section for painting. It has the 21 foot ceiling and all the windows. The wall to the east has no windows. It's for paintings (display- higher half) and the lower half is for a work space for paintings. So yes Liz the upper arched window is from the north side and will create an aura of constant light all day. I can't afford running water yet...but it will have heat. I am working on that. The south side has a loft for painting storage and my books, plus a small desk. The lower floor feels so spacious and is just for painting...yay!
During this crazy time I just work outdoors for the couple of hours in the morning. (the light is awesome!)Later I either teach or sand, hammer , paint or something. Today I stapled all the insulation into the walls! I needed a very tall ladder.
Thanks Janelle, Casey, Katherine, Sam (I will return your kind email),Deborah,Marilyn, Pam, Donna, Whitney,Caroline and Liz.
PS Thanx about my studies too!loriann signorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16738796573576452724noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2569842595006112796.post-11972387898488460912011-10-26T18:19:20.945-04:002011-10-26T18:19:20.945-04:00So exciting! Your studio looks great- many many creative years ahead in your new space. I am curious as to how you planned your studio-what was your inspiration? How are you dealing with heating and cooling? Will your space have running water ? Maybe you will be featured in the next issue devoted to studios that American Artist publishes. BTW-how does the foliage look in your neck of the woods.
