March 3, Two studies

Today's work so far is two different small paintings. First, I began my early morning with another gorge study. I keep trying to articulate the light in pastel. Aarrgh!
Then, since I felt I was being redundant I did a small study of the marsh at Rileys. I once again was concentrating on color temperature. It began as complements-blue and orange and then strayed to pinks. Maybe it's springtime color, or maybe I simply lean pink.
