about 7.5x7.5, pastel and watercolor on boardMy goal today was to paint the shadow pattern, put down the big shapes in watercolor and then stick with it- no changes. The gorge on the Potomac river, a place where shadow patterns are strong in the morning, was perfect for this exploration.
