September 14, 2008 The Heat of Late Summer

The reservoir had never called me to paint till today. All my usual routes to the river were blocked due to the Nation's Triathlon and the Park Marathon. So rather than drive more, I stopped at the reservoir.
Today's record breaking heat and humidity made for a beautiful, moody atmosphere. Maybe I found an additional, favorite place to paint.
