September 29, 2008 The Guard's Treasure

9x12, pastel and watercolor on wallis board $150. plus tax and shipping
I needed to internalize the feeling of the reservoir, so that is where I painted this morning. This one is dedicated to the guard who cares for the place and allows me to paint there. He is my newest subscriber. Welcome! You are a lucky man to be able to look at this view all day!
Now, back into the studio for me. I will work toward resolve with the bigger reservoir painting.

I'm really liking those browns, greens and that spot of yellow in this one...they really complement your cools so well here...and they give a sense of a totally different light and time of day than some of your others.

Thanks Karen.

It is amazing how the colors have changed to a subtle warm Autumn already. Can't wait to see what October will bring. :-)
