12 x12 pastel and watercolor on Uart paper I have put away the oils for now. Frustration brings me to what I know. I began this one Monday right before sunset and I tried to finish it in the studio. I guess tomorrow is another day.
On the back of a book I just borrowed from the library, Architects Draw by Sue Ferguson Gussow, she is quoted as saying, "Drawing is thought extended through the fingertips." Applies to pastels, yes?
Loriann, This painting and your previous painting are beautiful. I hope you're taking good care of yourself while recuperating from surgery. Get some rest, okay?
"Drawing is thought extended through the fingertips," I like that one Bob. I guess I would stretch it one.... Painting/drawing is feeling and thought extended through the fingertips. What do you think?
Dori, Thanks. When I brought this one back to the studio on Monday I noticed there were too many shapes. So I altered that, connected some shapes, fused the divisions between shapes and changed the value in back. Thanks for noticing the abstract shapes. Maybe I will do this one again.

This is very dramatic. You captured sunset very well. Wonderful abstract shapes.
Janelle, Thanks for your support and kindness. I am doing better..... except for the lack of talking. And I will rest too. Thanks!
