Square Sparkle

6x6 pastel and watercolor on Uart paper $100.
The water had a silvery Winter glimmer, yet some signs of Spring are poking through. Green and pink hints play peek-a-boo with a predominately Winter landscape. Is that exciting or what? I even saw daffodils today!

That sparkle effect you've achieved is so...sparkling!!
Daffodils, yay...I've been dying to try to paint one. Ours are just a couple of inches of green stalk poking out of the earth at this point.

Loriann this is genius! I can't say how many places this reminds me of and the time of year you've conveyed is impeccable.

You say a lot with so few shapes, Loriann. Beautiful colors here! Do you mount your UArt paper or just tape it down?

Thanks Jala, Brian and Donna!

And Donna...I usually tape (black masking) down my Uart small works and paint on mounted pieces for large works. Uart really doesn't need to be mounted even when accepting watercolor or oil. Cool, eh?!
