Even the Birds are Quiet

8x13 pastel on watercolor underpainting, Uart paper
It's six thirty in the morning at one of my favorite places  on the Potomac. The cloud layer is so low and the water is quiet.

Loriann,

I can feel the quiet and the early morning. Beautiful painting. I always admire how you take your daily vitamins without fail. You're my inspiration and heroine. Currently I have the flu and I hope that it doesn't last to long. I working on what to take with me to Maine. Should I travel light or heavy? I always take more than I need. I don't do well with small watercolor pallets and like to carry my larger covered one. Well we'll see what comes from all this.
Hey, do you think I should paint before we go? Ha, Ha, Ha, I know your answer to that one. OK, I'll try.
For now, best wishes my friend,
Doug
