Sunrise has a cool light...but in order to create a good feeling it needs to be a warm- cool. And in turn the shadows are warm but they can't be completely warm they need to be a cooler warm. (follow me?) It all meets in some beautiful glowing neutrals. I tried to capture that in this painting.

Loriann,
I follow. These are beautiful neutrals but yet very colorful. How do you do this Buddette?
Leaving Maine tomorrow and then home Tuesday night. I'm shooting for 2 hours at least per day from that point forward. I discovered on this trip how much I've lost and need to rediscover. Unbelievable.
Your painting Buddy.
Hey Buddy!
I knew you would follow! It's once again all down to simultaneous contrast, isn't it?
Two hours a day sounds like a good plan to get your mojo back!
Safe travel back home from Maine.
Buddette
This is breathtaking. I love how your "neutrals" hold all the intensity in place so that it doesn't just gush about. I really love it.
Thanks so much Susan! That balance between "gushing" and neutrals that hold the intensity in place is just what I am working on right now. I really appreciate your comment
