reveal, sky's gauzy veil

6x6 oil on board
Skies have become my newest muse.
This one was posted (pre-post)  before the snowpacolypse..... we have been powerless for more than 36 hours! It's freezing...34 degrees in the house. More later!

...and beautiful skies they are. I love skies, especially at sunrise or sunset. Then there are those moonlit skies. Oh heck.. I just love skies. One might interpret this as "living in the clouds."

Texture! I love texture, and it comes across in this painting.

And the large work is beautiful, and very recognizable as a LS artwork. Exciting to see your oils.

I envy your skiing, cuz here in the Pacific NorthWET we lack the snow. Have fun.

Hi Leah! I know you love skies..it only makes sense since you are always "looking up."I can't help but think of you when I paint one!

Hi Casey!
Thanks about the texture. I live giving the illusion of texture while working on the smoothest of boards.
Thanks too about the oils. It has been my struggle .. to find the way to paint that is true to my pastels.
Pacific Northwet..hee hee...beautiful but rarely any snow. Enjoy your lushness!

Hi Jala!
I am warm and happy. Thanks about the color!

Love the caramel sky! It's so moody and evocative...and the calm in it takes me away!
