8x10 oil on panel
Preparing for a show is work...good work. This weekend we hung the show. Now the smaller things needed to be wrapped up. Painting time has been limited, although I always make time to work...every day. This is a painting (oil) that I have been working on for weeks. This started as a memory painting. It has gone through many metamorphoses to create the vision I desire. It stays on the easel, with no resolution in sight.
The best news I have have received in a very long time...... my best friend in the world is coming down (from Nova Scotia) to join me in the celebration on Friday night. Yay Leah!!!!!! Lucky me!
Please, everyone, if you are around come and join us at the Waverly Street Gallery in Bethesda!

Such a beautiful piece and in oil it almost look like pastel.
Sometimes paintings take a long time to speak to us.
Wish I could attend your show!
I love the perspective of distance in your painting it really draws you into those distant blue hills nicely. I also thought it was a pastel painting too.
Lucky me... to have such a good friend and to be there to witness your talent, vision and determination. This is your time to shine!
Thanks Dominique! I am glad it looks like a pastel... I will keep working.
Hi Jala! You are so right about that! Patience is a key for those conversations. I wish you could attend too!
