return from the abyss

9x6 pastel and watercolor on Uart
Phew! I am back home now! Home sweet home. Thank you so much for all your well wishes and prayers. I firmly believe it helped....I may not have known but with so many prayers, wishes, cards, emails and even flowers piling up, I am on the road back.
My hospital stay was long and troubled, but with a good ending..  My eyes are just starting to open because of the constant heavy narcotics and allergic reactions. The surgery was a complete success.
YAY!
The disease was limited to the right middle lobe, which no longer exists. The remaining part of my lung is still delicious and pink. Clarity of mind is not part of my repertoire but will return soon.
This is a painting I did before the surgery. We had snow two nights before and morning was gorgeous.  I funneled all my good energy into this one piece of Uart...self-healing before it began.
My return will be speckled. As long as my eyes will open, my memories are there and I will attempt to paint..
THANK YOU again! I love all of you!

Your back already! Woop! Woooo!Fantastic news! :o) I for one have missed you lots but want to make sure you will rest up properly. Sorry if I sound like I'm nagging....I'm sure lots of other people are saying the same thing to you. And I know that painting will make you feel better and help you heal, but do take it easy. (Sorry I sound like my mother...)

Lovely painting, I really like the format and low horizon. Big hugs and healing thoughts on their way.

It's so good to know your surgery went well, Loriann! Take your time and don't push yourself to get back into your old routines, OK? Let those cute kittens keep you entertained.

Such a beautiful painting - one of my favorites so far.

And what a great little painting, it feels so intimate.

It is generous of you to report back this soon - the surgery wasn't that long ago. Thank God you are better, and with anything like this, you will need rest. Lots of it.

That painting is a knock-out. Beautiful.

Take care.

Yes, thank you for letting us know you are on the mend ..I have been keeping my eye on the sunsets for you-Oh and happy Tu B'Shevot-today is the Jewish new year for Trees-- it seems appropriate-now is the time to plant trees, to water them and see them grow-it is likened to the time to plant seeds in ourselves and nurture that growth as well--so happy planting!

Dear B,

This one is awesome!

Now that you've let everyone know that you're home and in the healing process, we are all thankful and are dancing around with jubilation!

Now, will you please go and rest and heal and we will wait and continue to send you healing thoughts, but you stay off this blog. I suspect it is not part of the instructions from the Doctor. We love you, take your time, rest without stress, heal and come back when you're 100% healed with energy and spirit.

Take care dear friend,
pb,
Doug

Hi Loriann, welcome back! I was happy and relieved to see your post today - and such a beautiful pastel, too! All feels right with the world again - at least, with the art blogging world, that is. Take care and get lots of rest.

Loriann,
Just think--if you put just a fraction of your boundless energy into getting well again, you'll be back to burning the pastel at both ends in no time. Heal carefully and well, my friend.

So good to see words from you again, Loriann. And such a beautiful painting with the light on in the window. Heal fast and paint away.

You are all so amazing! Thank you thank you for all your support! I really feel that my blogger friend's comments, prayers, thoughts, emails, letter, cards ad so much positivity has helped healing. Thank you. I am beginning to feel a bit better, each day another milestone. I aim to begin bedside paintings this week...but don't worry I WILL rest, my body is very demanding right now.
Thanks about this painting too. It showed me how much emotions paint and yes Jala I will contact you about its sale. And yes Sam I will put all of my boundless energy and determination into healing.
