sedona

The landscape of Sedona is absolutely beautiful. The Sedona Arts Center folks run a great event- the Sedona Plein Air Festival. Right now there is a show of all the artists' work on display. As we finish work it too will go to the gallery. Drop by if you can. I am honored to be invited to be part of this group of amazing painters!
Here are couple from today's work. I will write more when I have time.

Loriann, I think your latest piece, the one with the road and the telegraph poles (is that what you call them in the US?) is really lovely. Glad you are enjoying your travels.N

It is a pleasure seeing your lovely paintings- full of light and atmosphere. I love Sedona too.

I agree - wonderful light and atmosphere in both! As always, I admire your ability to capture the feel of the place without adding distracting details.

I can't say I'm exactly surprised, but heavens to Betsy, girl! At some point, you crossed the line to the sublime. Your atmospherics are magical.
Have fun in Sedona. Can't wait to see what you come up with. Look up Colin Page. He's also at the Plein Air Festival and is a wonderful oil painter.

Hi Lynne! Thanks for dropping by and commenting. How are things in the UK? Sedona is awesome and we call those poles telephone poles. They are becoming fewer as the lines are now placed underground, but they can make a good vertical in a landscape.cheers!

Thank Donna. I do try hard to keep the details out...but it's hard. Thanks for dropping by!

Sam, You are funny! I am struggling, but when in doubt relate to a field I always say. I did meet Colin on Saturday. Nice work.
Thanks Julie!
