Christmas morning and Chardin

This time it is Christmas morning on the field and another quote, this time from Chardin.
"Who told you that one paints with colors? One makes use of colors, but one paints with emotions." Jean-Baptiste-Simeon Chardin (master of still life, 1699-1779)

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate!

Merry Christmas to you too Donna! I am glad you liked the quote. When I read it I found a different appreciation of Chardin, a painter I have always admired. Thank you about my painting!

There are no words to describe the beauty of this painting. I was filled with emotion looking at it and then I read the quote. Very apt!
