new color and bits of sketchbook wisdom

Still working with stretching the idea of possible color combinations. Normally I would not choose browns or yellow, so I intentionally those  two sticks of pastel to be dominant.
Bits of wisdom I found in my sketchbook:
1. Think about what it is that attracted you and stick with it. Find it in what you see.
2. Always lean towards the temperature you have chosen, don't jump around.

Beautiful. "Think about what it is that attracted you and stick with it." Someone asked me something similar about my writing--"What made you want to write that?" It was a very helpful question.

Same thing...right Liz.
i guess the process for a writer/poet and a painter are very, very similar. The tools are different.

Beautiful. Serene and simple. Nice choices - glad you went for it.

All the good ones have their own identity which in turn defines them. That's the yin and yang of exploration.

Good work.
