Things to remember about skies:
1.Use predominately warmer colors on the clouds closest to you and cooler colors when they are farther away.
2.This may change when lit by sun.
3.If the sun is below the clouds, the bottom ridge is colored and affected by the sun and the darker side is the top of the cloud. When the sun is above the cloud the reverse is true.

Beautiful one Loriann. I can add that that driving while examining the beauty of clouds is a lot like driving while on the cell phone. Our minds are locked on just one thing. Thanks for the pointers on clouds. :)
You are so right. I wish I could stop myself. If I have my husband with me I ask him to drive at transitional times so I can watch. Grade me-room for improvement √
Gorgeous clouds and sky, Loriann! I get white knuckles just thinking about being on that Beltway!
This is beautiful! I have the same problem with driving and sky watching. Since it's winter and my windshield is always dirty, I've been refraining from taking any sky photos while driving.
Thanks Donna!
You are right, the beltway can be frantic depending on the time!
Hi Leah! That's right in the great white north you have snow and need for wipers. You also have the most gorgeous commute.
PS We think we might get some pretty snow tonight.
Thanks for the reminders!
You are most welcome Pam!
This dramatic sky is magnificent Loriann!! I have tried to paint the sky twice and it´s not as easy as it seems. You are master in painting skies. I love the colors.
Beautiful! I love the glow over the break in the trees, and gorgeous colors, you really captured the moment.
Thanks Sarah!
This title made me laugh in agreement, Loriann! I am often catching myself "with my head in the clouds" while driving! Oops!
This painting is gorgeous. Definitely would have been staring off into the skies too. :)
Hi Takeyce!I am not surprised that you suffer with the addiction as well.
