Langston Hughes and hope

pastel

Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.
Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.

Oh my goodness Loriann, that painting is stunningly beautiful! The colors, texture and mood are all working together perfectly. Thank you so much for the poem; it's very much what I needed to read. I hope things are going better with your dad.

Powerful composition. I anticipate this painting will find a home in a private collection and soon.

Your painting warms my heart, Loriann.

Love to your Daddio. I used to call mine Daddio, too. He called me Sammio in return.

Thank you everyone for your warm thoughts. Daddio passed on January 9th. I am just trying to pick up and find my way again.
