The Hill beside the Church

4x7 pastel and watercolor on Uart
Today was sort of odd, mostly overcast, but yet I swear the light was gold.
I did this one yesterday because I am leaving now to visit relatives in Pennsylvania. We are celebrating my nephew's first birthday. I hate missing a day of painting...it makes me feel so unbalanced! Habit is a very good thing.

Engaging work!

I am working on these "acid greens" in my foregrounds, much like this work does.

Enjoy your break, Loriann.

I love your work and look forward to seeing it nearly every day. I'm a watercolor artist but love pastel...and I love the combination of the two here. It makes me want to see what's over the hill.

Loriann, I was struck by the light, and the proximity to a church. Is there a cemetary nearby? Unintentional Easter painting? Very appealing and intriguing.

This looks really unusual for you. But I still like it. :)

Thanks Casey. Spring really makes those acid greens so enticing don't you think?

Kat, Thanks for checking out my blog. I will bop over to your blog now. It's funny I felt the same way about that hill as I was ready to drive by it.

Bob,
Unintentional Easter painting... very interesting thought that I had never even considered. hmmmm. There is a cemetery adjacent to the church. I had decided to omit it. The light was the attraction. L

Thanks Jala...you never know about me :-) No door left unexplored... but then again, I think YOU understand that.

Thanks Jeffery,
And thanks for visiting my blog. I will check out yours as well
