Magical Particles

9x12 pastel on watercolor -uart paper

New body of water. The pollen is once again doing magical things on the lake's surface.
And of course, early morning is the time the light really struts its stuff. Look at the way the surface of the water changes when the pollen particles reflect or absorb light. I am allergic to the stuff (who isn't?)....but it's really pretty!

Beauty Loriann,
The water surface is completely believable and I really like how your capturing the increasing volume of the foliage within the masses. Well done.

Hi Brian!
Thanks for your positive feedback. The spring colors are so beautiful it's hard to make them believable, don't you think?
This weekend with all this warm weather our trees burst out with small baby green leaves. Love it!

Oooh, I hate how pollen acts in my sinuses (I'm very allergic), but I LOVE how it acts in your paintings!!

Jala, I guess it shows how there are two side to everything. Even though I sneeze while painting it's worth it!
