chroma equals vibration/ autumn trees

8x8 watercolor and pastel on old Wallis paper

Another quick hour for work while Paul sleeps. This time I was painting it in my head all evening before heading out this morning. This scene lasts just moments so a lot of study needs to go into understanding what is important and how.  I painted like a madwoman on this one. To me, this finally found success. The right chroma (not always the correct hue)  is very important in the quest for the vibration.

Good Morning B,

Beautiful, it's vibrating the fillings out of my teeth.
Just kidding. I can see this brief moment when the sun lights up these trees at the edge of the water.
Always love and admire your color choices.

Take care and my best to both of you.
Your painting Buddy.

Loriann, no one stirs the pot better than a madwoman. If you keep your colors vibrating like this, none of us will have a tooth left in our head. One look at it should propel Paul right out of his chair. Yes, you indeed found success!

Loriann,
I hope that Paul is doing better. Yesterday & today you have posted two beautiful paintings. The painting from yesterday has some beautiful color interactions between the tree mass and the water. Keep on going- you are moving the ball forward.
