mountain view

9x10 (about) pastel on BFK

The layers of distance are made up of similar colors with changes in value and temperature. California has such interesting color so different from the East Coast. A beautiful place.

Beautiful B,

Wonderful colors and feeling. The little bits of paper showing through look like lights of small cities shining in the valley. Are you in southern CA? This looks like a place near San Juan Capistrano.

Take care,
Your painting Buddy.

Hi PB, Yes we were in Southern CA. My paintings were done in Escondido, Valley Center and Palm Springs. I love the colors there. A dusty rose is the foundation color for their hills...what could be better?
Feels good to be back!
I hope you are enjoying your gobs of snow. -b
