orange, orange, tangerine

Just watercolor. I finally did it. Knowing that in its raw state it would serve as a great color study I resisted placing even one stroke of pastel. Let's see how long that lasts:-)

Hi B,

Don't do it, don't you dare do it ... no, no stop, stop it's only been 30 minutes. Umm, I know what's going to happen here, it's like potato chips, you can't eat just one. I see you standing there tossing that pastel chunk up in the air as you look over your shoulder to see if anyone is watching. O just do it.

I did notice that since you did this as a color study, it isn't as loose as your under paintings. No, no I still like it very much. Just an observation.

Ok, I'm going to go hide now!

Your painting buddy,

Is it still a pastel, even if I can imagine the pastel?

It's very nice, but somehow I feel an itch to see your pastel touch on top of it...
