dusk 2

6x6 pastel on Grey BFK
Same idea, same abuse, more color. Focus is on abstract, loss of line, color saturation/intensity and heightened mood.

hi b,
very, very nice piece. the more i look
the more color i see. so soft but intriguing.
i wish i could take a peak on the other side of
the point. you've achieved all your desires and then
some. i turned the image 90 degrees to the right and now i don't know which is better. the original or the abstract. this is a serious beauty!

Well, there's your friend Violet again. And what an exhibitionist she is!

The colors and their complements are so confident here. This painting should give you some of the satisfaction you've been seeking. Read: it better! The line is completely lost in the abstraction. In this case, I say good riddance.

I love DD's suggestion for turning your world on its ear. Works great and is lots of fun!

Gosh you two..THANK YOU!
You have made by day. You are very familiar with my struggles and what I am aiming for; so your complements make me feel great!
PB- I love your comment about seeing it upside down!
Sam- you always know how to make me laugh- The thought of my friend Violet being an exhibitionist makes me giggle;-)
THANKS guys!

Who would think all of that abuse would result in such a lovely, peaceful mood? I really like that this just barely hints at reality, that I have to work a little to make it into something I recognize. Awesome work, Loriann!

Funny how that works, eh Donna? I am glad that you pointed it out. Thanks!
