Early this morning I was up and out before the sun. I stood ready before the pond, eager to see the show. The sun rose behind me wrapped in clouds and below the trees. The amazing part was that the full moon set in front of me. It allowed occasional glimpses at its beauty.
Lately it has become obvious how the autumn light is changing its veil. A lighter lemon color is present...November is around the bend.

This is lovely. Autumn fairies dance beneath the setting moon.
Thanks Leah..was it like that in Nova Scotia this morning?
Oh, I like this one Loriann! Those are definitely not summer colors.
(P.S. Finally, a contract on the house ... now I'm dreaming of a new studio again)
You are wonderful, it was a pleasure to see the location and the original!! You are an inspiration for all of us this past weekend!! Angie
Hi Donna...a BIG congrats on the house! You have waited so long for this to happen. I can smell the paint on the walls of your new studio! And you are right, Ohio is about 2 weeks (at least) ahead of us back in DC. Colors were peak with bare trees!
Hi Angie! It was a pleasure meeting and painting with you this weekend. We learn so much from each other, all the time. Best wishes with your paintings. Keep in touch!-loriann
PS Thanks for your kind words!
Misterious... Great color harmony. What an unusual sight that moon is.
Another beautiful one, Loriann - this feels so placid. Lovely moon!
I wasn't up that early yesterday morning but I wished you were in the passenger's seat on my way to work this morning. The sunrise was spectacular. It held so many of "your" colours and so many textures all at the same moment. It did last only a moment though.

Thank you Nika and Brian! The full moon is one of those wonderful things that provide so much inspiration!
Hi Leah...wish I could have been in the passenger seat to see your Nova Scotian sunrise.
