studies of color

It feels so good to be in the studio...lost in my head. I am trying all kinds of ways to achieve the idea I have. The possibilities are endless! The one thing that seems constant is the painting is only as good as the quality of its grays.
I will post another one or two tomorrow. These are for the small wonders holiday show.

I'm curious... What's the size of these half-light gems? Big or small, they're beauties. You're getting to be the queen of twilight.

You've created the quiet intensity of the edges of the day!

Really, really nice color choices. My eyes are watering over here in Oregon. Makes me want to worship grey. Thanks for the colorful post Loriann.

Thanks Maggie!

Hi Sam! The queen of twilight (heehee) paints these small ones measuring 6"x6". Just moving through my ideas. I am framing 12 of them for the holiday show.

Thanks Kvan.... I just keep working at it! Some are more successful than others.

Hi Brenda! You are in the land of gray with soooo many possibilities. Have fun and thank you!

El preimero de todos, el situado más alto, es espléndido. Esta última serie de trabajos es muy bella, simple y casi abstracta pero muy bella y armoniosa. Felicitaciones.

Un abrazo desde España, Loriann.
