cloudburst finished

The best part about finishing a painting that was started a year ago is that I am totally free of the initial idea's grip on me. Now it becomes easier to just have a conversation with the painting. Waiting is always best.

This is worth the wait! Sometimes I lose track of things after a long wait. How do you pick up the threads of the old painting to finish it and make it resonate with where you are now?

Good question Kvan. I actually like being separated from it because I get new vision rather than the stuck one I had before. When I abandon a painting it means I am not certain of my next move. Time and space brings removal and clarity. Does that make sense?
