detail focal point/gorge paintingFor two days I have been fighting that doggone stomach flu. Tonight, since i am feeling better, I am in the studio (usually I am here morning and night.) As I lay in bed I kept repainting the focal point. I think I finally have the glow here! Now to finish the painting. I must say I like the very active surface that is dynamic, yet feels just like the landscape. Pastels have wonderful qualities-just their very expressive nature alone is gem like!

I like the focal point. It's interesting how even when you remove your gaze from it, it's still there.
