Addicted to the Light

9x9 pastel on Uart

The goal this time was subtlety. ...hmmmm, not sure if I did that.

It's like the landscape speaks to me and my hand has no real choice about which marks it will make.

Stunning. Stunning. Awesome. I see the subtlety, esp. with the transition from not-too-dark all the way to high key. Love that.

The field works are my favorites, and I took a gasp when I saw them.

Looks like you've internalized the RM workshop and made it all your own - not an easy thing to do, but what awesome results.

Dakota rocks, and thanks for blogging about it. They also do the best job of shipping, bar none. Other catalog retailers take note!

Thanks so much Casey!!!!!! That's high praise coming from you! Washington state is an inspirational place. Thank you also about my internalizing. It's funny many people have asked me why I continue to only take Richard's workshop once a year. I choose to learn from Richard because he is a marvelous thinker, not to paint like him (even though he is the most glorious, sensitive painter.) I am sure you understand.
And, Dakota does rock- in every way!
