pink veil

This one is in progress. It's idea sprouted from all the recent lake studies. It's big, about 18x27. Layering the watercolor was fun with my new 2" brush. Materials don't make the painter..but boy, oh boy it's heaven with a 2 inch thick juicy brush full of pigment.

Thank you for sharing your process and a photo of your excellent materials. You're right that "materials don't make the painter," but if you don't have decent ones, it's nearly impossible to do great work.

First, thanks for emailing me the underpainting. That was cool. I like what you've got started here. Can't wait to see how it turns out. Your right, it is a large painting.

Brushes, is that a watercolor brush or some other medium? Happiness is a new brush.
