the hamster wheel of glee continues

10x10 pastel and watercolor on Uart
I am BACK!
I LOVE this place! I love this field! ......in fog, in sun, in rain, in clouds.....it's all good! I have painted it so many times. You can go back in my blog posts and see it last year in July and the year before and before. Sometimes you just find a place that make you feel and you have to go back again and again. Just plant your feet in the exact same place.  Each time it's different because each time you are different. you will be seeing a lot of this place.
wheeeeeee! I love this place

Now the whole world knows. Durn.

Since we are telling artist's secrets, my personal fave is Lopez Island. Keep it quiet.

This piece looks like your excitement about being there again! And, you didn't have to sweet talk someone into NOT mowing it for you. Looks like you've toned things down in the grass to let the reds and pinks shine through. Nice!

I live in SW Washington (Battle Ground), but have spent lots of time in the San Juans. I love the white church (Episcopal?) on the water at East Sound, Orcas Island and the ice cream shop at the top of the dock at Olga, Orcas Island. And, of course, Rosario is amazing, too.

Maybe next year on your trek to the NW I will get to paint with you, too! I would like that a lot. Kvan

For a minute, this looked like a pebble was dropped in a pond. Sort of a beautiful bulls-eye. Ground zero.

There it is! I've seen that before - in your paintings - and it looks like Puget Sound!
