simultaneous contrast- Josef Albers

I found this great vimeo about Josef Alber's work and simultaneous contrast.It starts out a little slow, stick with it because the content is good.

Are the colors that become luminous framed by 'analogous' colors? I am just trying to make sense of the info. From the article about painting skies. How does it all fit together?

Hi Clare, You ask good questions. My suggestion to you is try to duplicate the colors in format in any of the series- Albers or the Richard Nelson's. I think you will answer your own questions. I am trying to try to use that info in my sky work...so i can hopefully tell you more later about that later. Good luck!
